Business plans for electrified travel rise rapidly

The intention of UK businesses to adopt the three main kinds of electrified vehicles has risen rapidly in the last 12 months, according to authoritative new research.

The results show dramatic increases in businesses which report either already using, or are considering to use battery electric vehicles, plug-in hybrids and hybrids, according to the Arval Mobility Observatory report, which gains insight from 5,600 businesses across Europe.

More than four in 10 fleets expect emissions impact

More than four out of 10 fleets believe that they will be affected by the introduction of Clean Air Zones (CAZ) across the UK and the Ultra-Low Emissions Zones (ULEZ) in London.

In total, 43% of all UK businesses said they will be impacted – but there was some variance as only 27% of businesses with fewer than 10 employees believed there would be an issue compared to more than half (56%) of those with more than 1,000 staff.
