About the role

Sitting in our Pricing Function, the role is part of a hotshot team that are the gatekeepers to all commercial deals we do. You will be the numbers guru, the expert and one of the brains that helps us make the best commercial offerings possible, enabling our Sales teams to really delivery against our P&L.

You will analyse and model the profitability and commercial impact of proposed deals and tenders – and be ready to share your highly tuned and commercially focussed analysis with your team to validate the deals put forward by our Sales department. Whilst the role will be tailored towards a commercial element, it goes without saying that you will have a good grounding in our products to ensure deals make commercial sense.

You will work with all areas of the business to ensure that all aspects of new and renewed business are understood, documented and correctly modelled. You’ll make recommendations and provide supporting analysis for various committees, and you will also be on hand to support our Sales teams in Recontracting proposals, validating quotes and modelling their commercial impact.

Working closely with our Product and Marketing teams, you will support their activity and broader commercial initiatives by maintaining and improving the pricing models that support some of our key products (such as Rental & Fuel).

Although this role with often be reactive, supporting commercial deals proposed by other areas of the business – you will be keeping an eye on what the future could entail as the business evolves.

 

About You

The right attitude is more important to us than qualifications – so whether you are straight out of uni or have a good grounding in commercial roles, you just need to be smart, on the numbers and pretty sharp with your analytical skills.

 You’ll be commercially minded, always willing to ask “why?” and an exceptional communicator. You’ll need to be ready to explain your modelling, analysis and proposals clearly, concisely and with a strategic view to a number of senior stakeholders.

You will become the “go to” bod – the specialist on the team whom everyone seeks out. You’ll be dealing with Sales experts, Heads of Function, Snr Committees as well as the C-Suite all of whom will want a good commercial explanation that helps them make the right decisions.

Don’t worry – you’ll be part of a team of three whom are considered as crucial to our commercial offering. This will mean you will also need to be fluid and agile in your working style, ready to role up your sleeves and jump in on any topic to support your fellow Journey Makers.

Not shy to share your thoughts in a constructive fashion, you will be comfortable in a corporate environment and will understand the complexities of working for a matrix style organisation. You will welcome ownership and accountability, be creative and solution focussed.

Above all, you must love delivering exceptional customer service with a commercial twist.
