About the role

This is a superb opportunity for either a budding accountant or someone who wants to enhance their natural analytical skills. In this role, you will be the lynchpin of the Controlling function and will help ensure the team meet their monthly reporting requirements. This role will see you preparing management accounts reports through Oracle Essbase and Smartview and circulating them to the department. In addition, you will be responsible for your own regular reporting to Arval group. You will also gain experience of forecasting and budgeting, plus potentially any commercial analysis required by the wider business. Importantly, you will become familiar with the figures that drive this £3bn balance sheet business and will be in a position to dig deeper into how the complex accounting of the leasing industry works.

This role is eligible for Hybrid working so you will be able to work from home 2 days a week.

Salary range of £25-30,000 plus £1,100 pa bonus + superb corporate benefits including healthcare, pension and life assurance

About you

You will need advanced Excel skills: knowledge of pivots and lookups are a basic requirement. An aptitude to pick up new systems is necessary, as we develop our reporting solutions using SAS and Oracle Business Intelligence. Some experience of Smartview and Oracle Essbase would be a definite advantage but is not a prerequisite. You will be a highly numerate individual who has innate problem solving skills. You will need to demonstrate an enthusiasm for finance along with a healthy interest in learning about the business.

Lastly, but of no lesser importance, we are looking for someone who is very much a team player: someone with drive and enthusiasm who will roll up their sleeves, own their career and satisfy their ambitions.

This is a Pay Zone A4 role with a salary range of £25,000 to £30,000 plus an annual bonus of up to £1,100.
