About the role


In this highly visible and strategic role, you will head up our Marketing Team who deliver across three core areas. We have a Product Marketing team that are aligned to our Product and Sales teams, an operational and performance Marketing team and a PR comms team.  Put simply, it is a classic Marketing function.


Your initial focus will be to set and articulate a vision for the team. They will look to you to establish a sense of purpose, motivating them to achieve meaningful ongoing objectives, aligned to business strategy.

To be successful in this role, you will divide your time between thinking and operating at a strategic level whilst overseeing more operational elements, all the while driving a culture of continuous improvement. You will anticipate and respond to changes in the customer and supplier environment and look for opportunities to innovate and so exceed customer expectations.

Basic salary range is £75,000 to £85,000 + £15,000 bonus & company car (or £6.5k cash allowance).

About You


To succeed in this exciting role you will need to demonstrate a successful record of accomplishment in structuring, setting direction, establishing culture, and then leading a high performing Marketing function. A background in a leasing or financially regulated business would be advantageous but not vital. Experience supporting a business with a strong sales focus is another nice to have.


We are on the lookout for a high-energy individual, with a commercially creative brain, bursting with ideas. Someone who brings a super proactive mindset linked with tangible success in performance marketing. High levels of gravitas in terms of understanding marketing is also key, but you will also need the drive to deliver your vision and the credibility to negotiate your way around the inevitable challenges. Knowing when to push and when to keep your powder dry, ready for another day, will keep you sane. We are particularly interested in you if you have delivered change and implemented efficiencies and new tools.


A real people champion too. Someone who has a passion for developing team members, so maximizing individual potential, whilst future proofing your business along the way. In partnership with CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing) we have co-created the Arval Marketing Academy to support the professional development of our people and underpin ‘how we do marketing’ at Arval. This is important for us.
