About the role

Reporting to the Product and Marketing Director, this role will effectively own the Product and Proposition strategy for Arval UK. You will be visionary, entrepreneurial and strategic – developing insight-driven customer value propositions across all our customer segments that link products, services, offers and Customer Experience (CX) together to create an offering that disrupt the market and gains us competitive advantage.

Leading a growing, fast-paced and exceptional team, you will challenge our ways of working to support the delivery of the right outcomes at pace.  Placing the Customer at the centre of our world, you will continue to build towards our existing five-year roadmap, enhancing our strategy, associated trading and plans for each Product, delivering our balance performance scorecard (Commercial/Sales, P&L, CX and Risk).

 You and your teams will review commercial performance and take proactive measures to deliver the UK P&L– but in particular, capitalise on opportunities and continuously improve the product portfolio, ensuring that Arval has a market competitive range of products & propositions. This you will do by being switched on, data and insight driven and prepared to take swift and decision action – whilst trusting the instinct of your experienced teams and peers.

You will have an international presence, working closely with our Corporate Centre (Paris) and broader G4 based peers to not only drive Group wide developments and apply country learnings and best practices, but also to influence Arval Global strategy.

About You

Not shy to share your thoughts in a constructive and articulate fashion, you will be comfortable in a corporate environment and will understand the complexities of working for a matrix style organisation.

You will welcome ownership and accountability, be creative and solution focussed. You will be an exceptional communicator and very comfortable in challenging C-Suite settings.

As a member of our senior Leadership team, you will also need to conceptually “get it”. The “it” is understanding the link between Employee Experience, Customer Experience and Commercial performance – bringing this to life for operational teams across the organisation. Not only will be you be able to clearly articulate our strategy and roadmap, but you will have no problem clearly translating this vision into transactional objectives for your teams, leading example as a role model Journey Maker.

With a background in (or at least a firm understanding of) Agile methodology, you will be comfortable in a organisation that is moving at pace where you will be ask to influence multiple change programmes that directly affect the P&L.

You will earn trust, building a strong network and work closely with your peer group, subtly influencing the shape and approach of the organisation at a moment in our history that is defining our future success. 

Under the Senior Manager and Certification Regime (SM&CR), this role is a Certified Function lead. Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) guidelines and annual assessments will be in place to support.

Salary range is up to £80k, plus annual bonus of up to £13,600,  Company Car / Cash Allowance (£6k).
