We are Europe’s No.1 vehicle leasing provider with a clear vision for sustainable mobility. Mobility is as simple as someone moving from point A to point B, however and whenever they choose. We know that for 2021 and beyond, being innovative and creative, developing existing products and introducing new ones quickly into the mix is what our customers want, whilst we also focus on leading the way forward on Climate Action within the mobility industry.
Luckily, at Arval, we have an excellent pedigree in all things mobility, and the launch of our five year plan, Arval Beyond, puts us out in front, leading the way. Find out more about our plan here: Arval Beyond
We truly believe all our Journey Makers help us shape our story – and make history in the process. Come, join our family, and be part of it too.
About the role
At heart, you are a social and visual storyteller – in this new role for us you will be helping to translate our Brand and Communications strategy into stories and visual assets which help communicate on key events in customer’s leasing lives, translate technical and business updates into engaging stories and news that connects with all our customers, across every channel.
As part of the Brand and Communications team you’ll, in essence, form a key part of the newsroom for Arval UK – creating content that is published externally on social and digital channels.
Working with the Brand and Communications Manager, this role will be a central part of our creative engine with a strong focus on social media and creative asset creation, combined with some PR and awards creation too.
Creating clear and compelling multi-channel external communications posts and assets that enhance our reputation amongst key audiences and influencers, you will focus and develop content to increase our brand and product awareness. The key here is to ensure you work closely in collaboration with other business areas, within approval processes, to ensure our messaging is fully aligned with our vision.
Much of what you will produce is linked to our Brand and Communications Strategy and our Arval Beyond 2025 Strategy, as well as our product (and customer) channels. But you will also be ready to jump in at a moment’s notice to support on those unexpected and unforeseen opportunities or crisis moments, particularly in social where well-thought through messaging to the external world is the key to success and quite often, the deciding factor in how our customers see us.
Able to share your thoughts in a constructive fashion, you will be at ease in a corporate environment and will understand the complexities of working for a matrix style organisation. You will welcome ownership and accountability, be extremely creative and solution focussed – always going the extra mile to deliver an outstanding result.
You’ll be very comfortable on all social media platforms, not just posting content but also creating and gaining approval of stakeholders – perhaps you will even be happy creating video footage, being able to create a good story on screen as much as write one. Regardless of the situation, you will also be able to find ideas for a story – and really bringing to life what we do best: putting the customer at the heart of everything we do.
Ideally, you will have a background working in a communications environment or newsroom where you have dealt with consumer responses on social media. You’ll be a super collaborator – not only able to work with internal stakeholders, but with external agencies and partners, treating all as extended team members.
As you’ll be dealing with stories from end-to-end – from storyboarding, writing, producing and launching through to in-depth evaluation and analysis, you’ll need to have the “smarts” to able to confidently identify live trends and propose solutions that can feed into our broader strategy.
Wherever you have learnt your skills, you will conceptually understand the impact of brand, communication, and customer engagement, which will be your native language - strongly supported by you tech-savviness and creative juices.
What’s in it for you?
Culturally, we are a friendly bunch - more human, than corporate. We expect a lot but know that works both ways so offer our Journey Makers a fantastic employee experience end to end.
All our offices are welcoming and refreshed to reflect our new ways of working in a post-COVID, forward thinking digital and hybrid setting. You will be given the perfect environment to do your work to the highest standards possible, as well as the opportunities to develop your own career.
You will be joining a family – where, together, we are all pushing the limits of what’s possible for our customers and for each other. We’re an excellent mix of new and longer serving Journey Makers, all working together to constantly improve the service we offer all our customers. Sharing experience, ideas and creative solutions is what we do best.
