We are Europe’s No.1 vehicle leasing provider with a clear vision for sustainable mobility. Mobility is as simple as someone moving from point A to point B, however and whenever they chose. Research shows us that for 2021 and beyond, developing existing products and introducing new ones into the mix is what our customers want.
Luckily, at Arval, we have an excellent pedigree in mobility. Listening, changing and evolving are also strengths that we’re proud to shout about. With our new Arval Beyond strategy, we look forward to offering the sustainable, flexible and cost effective solutions our customers want. We are proud to say that our customers will continue to be our priority.
Culturally, we are a friendly bunch - more human, than corporate. We expect a lot but know that works both ways so offer our Journey Makers all the support they need. Going forward this will include a flexible approach with split office/ home working options too. When we are back in, you will find our offices inviting, relaxed and refreshing.
About the role
This role will be out in front, leading a team of expert Sales and Business Managers, all industry leaders. Focussing on New Business activity, you will take a “player-manager” role, not only acting as the team’s people manager, but you will take a lead role on strategic decisions, supporting the team with end-to-end sales processes with customer service and profitability leading your decisions.
Every customer you and your team deal with will be unique and complex and you will need to get to grips with these quickly in order to be able to deliver value for the future.
You will support your team to develop relationships to ensure that their clients have the most suitable products and services from us, and that inevitably revenue and opportunity is maximised from our perspective. You will look to satisfy immediate and ongoing needs for your customers but will also think strategically for the long-term as in essence you will be responsible for the P&L of these accounts and so use your wider vision. This opportunity is primarily a relationship management role but with very high expectations to seek out upsell opportunities.
Who we are looking for?
You will be an experienced people manager, having led field-based teams (ideally) in the leasing industry. You will be an expert coach, able to manager team members who are new to post or experienced hands that could probably teach you a thing or two. Either way, leading will be a natural gift and you will have a fluid style of management to suit all.
You will also need to be someone who understands the complexities of leasing products and services, able to articulate the commercial strategy clearly and succinctly, sharing this with your team and clients alike. Commercially astute, politically savvy, you will be happy chatting through a new business sales pitch over a coffee or presenting to a senior Board of Directors.
Strong relationship management with Corporate clients plays a huge part too. You will be able to build lasting relationships effortlessly. Whether externally or internally, your natural charm and influencing skills make you instantly likable and credible. The ability to quickly understanding customer requirements and then shape a bespoke solution will also set you apart.
Finally, we need a strategic thinker. Someone able to take a long-term view for the customer and Arval. A keen commercial eye with true financial awareness is required for success in the role. Along with the drive to provide the customer with an incredible experience.
Key Skills required:
- Strong relationship management
- Leasing or Automotive knowledge
- Complex Corporate account experience
- Instant credibility and customer focused
- Upselling opportunist
- Strategic long term mind-set
