Corporate Sales – Field Based
About the role
Reporting directly to the Head of External Sales (IBO & Large Corporate), you will be responsible for the commercial performance of our IBO UK Corporate channel. You will be leading a team of experienced Business Managers and working with some of the UK’s largest employers to deliver our ambitious growth targets, making this role both challenging and high profile.
This is very much a leadership role and you will have full autonomy. You will be a manager of people and will take a lead role on strategic and commercial decisions. With a clear vision, you will provide the overall direction for this channel and set the tone, working closely with our internal support and management team. These relationships will prove vital to your success in the role.
Building growth and maximising profitability will be key to your success. With the customer at the heart of everything you do. You will need both new business and business development skills. Your ability to pitch, negotiate and sell needs to be balanced with sound implementation and long-term relationship management skills too.
This role is ‘Field based’, so comes with a complete ‘home working kit’. Whilst you can be based anywhere in the UK, there will be a requirement to attend meetings in our Swindon & Manchester offices as well as with customers, with occasional travel overseas.

This role is comes with a basic salary range of £55,000 to £70,000 and being at pay zone level B3, an additional £8,900 (max) bonus + company car/ £6,000pa cash allowance.

About You
You will be an experienced people manager, having led field-based teams in the leasing industry. With people skills tuned to perfection, you are; switched on, commercially focussed and fluent in the language of sales. With a proven record of accomplishment in leading successful sales teams, you will have strong evidence to highlight your success. You will be an expert coach, able to manage team members who are new to post or experienced hands. Leading will be a natural gift and you will have a fluid style of management to suit all with the ability to recruit, retain and develop talent to lay strong foundations for future sustainable growth.
Being someone who understands the complexities of leasing products and services, you will be able to articulate our commercial strategy clearly and succinctly, sharing this with your team and clients alike. Commercially astute, politically savvy, you will be happy talking through a new business sales pitch over a coffee or presenting to a senior Board of Directors.
Having the customer at the heart of all you do, you welcome ownership and accountability and are an exceptional communicator and very comfortable in challenging settings. From conflict management and negotiation to decision-making and teamwork, you effortlessly manage these challenges with ease and credibility.
Finally, you will be a strategic thinker. Someone able to take a long-term view for the customer and Arval. A keen commercial eye with true financial awareness is required for success in the role. Along with the drive to always enhance and improve the customer experience, whilst managing all stakeholders, be that internal, external or within the wider Arval business (UK and Group) and BNP Paribas Group.

- Expert planning, prioritisation and organisational skills
- Sales focused and target driven
- Experience of people management in a sales environment
- Good commercial acumen and strategic vision
· Experienced selling into large multi-national companies and developing long term relationships
- Evidence of using digital tools such as Full Circle, Salesforce and LinkedIn to help initiate new prospect dialogue and manage pipeline opportunities
