SMaRT is the innovative new approach we use to support customers transition to cleaner vehicles like plug-in hybrids and fully electric models. A powerful 5-stage process, it is underpinned by a number of digital tools.
Ian Walden, one of our Senior Account Managers, won the Individual award for his exceptional focus and dedication to customer service, regularly going above and beyond for his customers (many of whom provided a glowing endorsement for the judges).
These awards recognise excellence in customer service, so our Swindon Account Team 5 were really proud to win the team award. Our second award of the evening, this is fantastic recognition for the consistently great support that this account team provides to their customers.
Part of a double success at these awards, we were recognised by the BusinessCar judging panel as the Leasing Company of the Year. This was for the way we have combined exciting new products, expert advice and great customer service in the past year to support a wide mix of customer audiences, ranging from small businesses and individuals with a single car or van through to large corporates with thousands
In the past 12-months, we have been able to innovate to get the maximum value from our vehicles at the end of the lease. We have done this using a number of digital remarketing channels like Motor Trade and Car Check, resulting in great customer feedback and a 9 out of 10 trust score on Trustpilot. This was one of two awards we won with BusinessCar this year, accompanying Leasing Company of the Year.
The judges said: “Arval has been working to reduce downtime for its LCV customers by looking at every step of the vehicle life cycle. This covers initial vehicle requirements, sourcing the right van at the right time, complete in-life support, downtime management and a flexible return process. Arval has combined several products including an accident management solution and a bespoke telematics solution to strengthen the proposition to customers, underpinned by dedicated support through an Arval account manager.”
The judges said: “Arval’s in-house telematics solution offers a seamless accident management process. It’ll log the time and location of the accident, with details of the driver’s prior behaviour, and can contact a recovery company after a rollover. The system can also track the entire repair process as it goes through the network. A valuable component of a very capable telematics solution.”
This award recognises best-in-class customer service across the entire motor finance, leasing and fleet supply arena. We were singled out for our customer-centric culture and specifically for BRAVO, our unique training programme which helps our employees to better understand the needs of our customers and deliver a great relationship-based service.
Lisa Jones from our Manchester office stood out for her exceptional focus and dedication to customer service, regularly going above and beyond for her customers. We’re proud that this was the third year running that an Arval employee had won at these awards.
Awarded for our Fleet Insurance Policy, the judges said: "Arval was the first leasing company to provide an insured lease package on their vehicles two years ago. Now it has taken it one step further, by offering insurance across a customer’s entire fleet, whether some other vehicles are supplied by another leasing company or outright purchased. The result is notable savings in terms of time, administration and cost.”
The Arval Fleet Toolkit was developed after we identified a gap in the information and resources available to small and medium sized businesses. It is an interactive website which supports companies to make effective vehicle related choices. The judges said: “All in all, it's a very good package of tools helping busy and under-resourced company car operators and drivers to make smarter and more tax efficient - which also tends to mean greener - choices.”
This was awarded to Arval for our long-standing commitment to Road Safety in the Community, which is an important element of our overall commitment to being a responsible business. These awards recognise the achievements of those working to help reduce the number of road crashes involving at-work drivers in the UK.
Jayne Sheehan, Account Manager in our Corporate Sales Division won this award because of the exceptional levels of support that she consistently provides to our customers, as well as their drivers. Her performance against targets is excellent and she acts as a role model for our other team members, providing important support and coaching.
