A significant new electric vehicle charging site is to open next month at the headquarters of vehicle leasing and fleet management company, Arval. At its Windmill Hill Business Park offices, 43 charging points will be available to Arval employees along with an additional seven for other businesses using the same building.
Fleets need to ensure that they keep on top of petrol and diesel management basics as focus in the industry turns to a more diverse fuel mix with increased use of electric vehicles and PHEVs, says Arval.
Fleets should continue to monitor the fast-changing EV situation throughout 2019 if they are to maximise the opportunities that these vehicles represent, says Arval.
The London Ultra Low Emissions Zone and Clean Air Zones being introduced in five UK cities will have a limited impact on most fleet operations - and the tone of debate across the industry is sometimes out of proportion to their likely effects
Interest is growing from businesses looking to provide vehicle solutions to their entire employee base including those not entitled to a company car, reports Arval.
An acceleration of the fuel learning curve is in prospect for many fleet managers over the next year as a wider choice of vehicles offering different fuel types make their way onto the market, says Arval.
