Corporate Social Responsibility 28 Sep 2026

Arval UK has published its 2025 Sustainability Report, revealing continuing progress against its environmental, social and governance (ESG) commitments. With focus on sustainable mobility, it now has more than 63,000 battery electric vehicles (BEV), a 16% increase on 2024, accounting for 30% of its leased fleet.

In doing so Arval UK has hit a key decarbonisation milestone a year early, by achieving a 38% reduction in average theoretical tailpipe CO2 emissions in its fleet*, exceeding its own 30% global reduction target.

As well as supporting clients with sustainable mobility, Arval UK has been focusing on their own sustainability initiatives, demonstrating a 44% year-on-year reduction in Arval UK’s absolute energy consumption (electricity and gas) in its offices and reported a 59% reduction in operational carbon emissions compared with its 2019 baseline. In addition, their own company fleet is 88% electric and achieved 100% BEV adoption for all new employee vehicle orders placed in 2025.

Another key achievement was Arval UK earning a EcoVadis Platinum medal, putting it in the top 1% of all companies assessed globally. The improvement from a gold medal for the previous year is testament to the robust approach in place at Arval UK.

In addition to environmental progress, Arval UK continues to foster its workplace culture. Increasing staff volunteering by 28% in 2025 compared to the previous 12 months, 346 Arval UK employees participated in 3,100 volunteering hours with 49 organisations.

Under its people pillar, Arval UK’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) was highlighted by 50% of the executive team being female and the proportion of women in senior roles (the upper quartile) increasing by 3% to 39%. Additionally, in 2025 Arval UK joined the Automotive 30% Club as a Gold Member to support greater female representation in the automotive sector.

Zoe Maitland, Arval UK Head of Sustainability commented, “In a recent employee survey, 84% of our employees said they believe Arval UK is environmentally responsible. With the release of our 2025 sustainability report, we can strengthen the good faith our stakeholders have in our sustainability leadership.”

Lakshmi Moorthy, Arval UK CEO and Managing Director, added, “Whether through decarbonising our own fleet and supporting customers on the same journey, reducing our operational carbon footprint, investing in our people, or strengthening our engagement with local communities, sustainability guides how we grow and operate.”
